Jim Ferris, Arts ’76 was named the 2015 Kate Welling Distinguished Scholar in Disability Studies at Miami University in Ohio. Since 2008, he has held the Ability Center Endowed Chair in Disability Studies at the University of Toledo, where he led the development of the first U.S. undergraduate degree in the discipline.
