Sybril Bennett, Comm ’90, is a professor of journalism at Belmont University in Nashville. Her second book, Innovate: Lessons from the Underground Railroad, was published. She was also selected as one of 8,000 Google Glass Explorers testing the wearable computer in the beta stage.

Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of Associated Financial Group, the company’s insurance and employee benefits business. In his new role, he retains his AFG leadership responsibilities.

Eric Derbes, Law ’90, was elected 2014 president of the Jefferson Bar Association in Jefferson Parish, La. He is a member of the Derbes Law Firm LLC, a 10-attorney firm in Metairie, La. He and his wife Rebecca have five children.
